We finished up our solutions to Chapter 17 problems and celebrated with our Palm Pipe Orchestra. Nice popping!
We presented our solutions to the Chapter 16 problems. Tomorrow we will present Ch 17 P: 16, 17, 18, and 19.
We began dealing with our assigned problems, and we will finish them up tomorrow, if all goes well.
Study your old tests and ask questions about the things that you don't quite get. And you can watch the Geminid meteors over the next few nights, skies permitting. Assignment:
Continue to review old tests, practice tests, objectives, etc. Identify questions to bring to class any day this week. We began to use Coulomb's Law to evaluate the strength of electric fields at known distances from charged particles and to evaluate the size of forces exerted on charged particles because of the field created by other charged particles.
Assignment:
Today we took a test about electric charge, electric fields, electric potential, and electric potential energy.
I have corrected item 9 on the Practice Test. The correct answer should be (b) as discussed in class, not (c).
Assignment:
We presented our solutions to the assigned problems today as we begin to prepare for Thursday's test. Tomorrow we will wrap up our review of electric fields and electric potential. We also saw a bit about what electric fields can do in air, namely, produce lightning. Assignment:
