We presented solutions to Problems 5, 7, 8, 9. Antennae were the next things to consider, both rod-type and loop antennae.
Homework Read Antenna section on p 628 ( ~ 100 x 2π !); Ch 22 P: 11, 12, 13; Q 10 We checked our environment for polarized light. The main findings were that light reflected from horizontal surfaces like our table tops tended to be horizontally polarized, and light reflected from windows, our whiteboard, and other vertical surfaces tended to be vertically polarized. We were also able to see that light from some areas of the sky was polarized, too. But the sky's polarization depended upon where one looked. When one filters out the horizontally polarized light (much of which is reflected from the relatively horizontal surface of this stream) it is easier to see through the surface to observe what is below.
